TOURISM WEEK 1986

WHEREAS. the tourism industry is extremely important to the City of
Bozeman. contributing to our employment, economic prosperity,
and international trade and understanding; and
WHEREAS, each of us benefits from the effects of tourism, through sub-
stantially enhancing our personal growth and education; pro-
moting intercultural understanding and appreciation of the
geography. history and people of Bozeman; and with the economy
growing, personal incomes and leisure will increase more rap-
idly. Tourism therefore can be expected to play an even greater
role in the lives of the people of Bozeman; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of the significance of the tourism industry to
the enhancement of trade. understanding and goodwill to the City
of Bozeman.
NOW. THEREFORE, I, Judith A. Mathre, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do
hereby proclaim the week of May 18 through 24, 1986, as
"TOURISM WEEK 1986"
in the City of Bozeman and urge the people of Bozeman to observe such
week with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
