SUBJECT: Appointment to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee (IFAC) MEETING DATE: June 17, 2019

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to appoint one member to the Impact Fee Advisory
Committee with a term ending December 31, 2020 to the Citizen of Bozeman not Employed in
the Development Industry position.
BACKGROUND: The Impact Fee Advisory Committee (IFAC) currently has three vacant
positions:
1. Citizen of Bozeman not Employed in the Development Industry, with a term ending
December 31, 2019
2. Citizen of Bozeman not Employed in the Development Industry, with a term ending
December 31, 2020
3. Builder, with a term ending December 31, 2020
One new application has been received for the Citizen of Bozeman not Employed in the
Development Industry position, with a term ending December 31, 2020.
The Impact Fee Advisory Committee, established under 7-6-1604, MCA, shall consist of nine
members to be appointed by the City Commission. The members shall be:

A certified public accountant who shall hold no other public office or employment;

1 builder;
1 land developer;
2 citizens of Bozeman not employed in the development industry; and
2 other members as selected by the City Commission.
A majority of members must be residents of the City of Bozeman. Appointments are made for
two years. The Committee will act in an advisory capacity to the City Commission.
This board currently has three vacancies. The City Clerk’s Office has received one new
application, with their relevant qualifications indicated below.

Built a home in a newer subdivision and am seeing the cascade of infrastructure impact (traffic problems,
traffic patterns, seasonal issues, etc.)
My home is on west side of Bozeman (I'm watching the new high school being built.).
I'm a believer of citizens being involved and making a difference. This seems like a way to have a voice and
make a difference.
