HomeMy WebLinkAboutProclamation 88- 1988 Winter Olympians from Bozeman Week PRO C LAM A T ION "1988 Winter Olympics, Calgary Games" Beginning the Week of February 13, 1988 * * * * * * WHEREAS, the 1988 Winter Olympics are to be held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada beginning the week of February 13, 1988; and WHEREAS, to compete in the Olympics representing the United States is a prestigious honor for an athlete; and WHEREAS, Jon Engen and Jeff Olson are residents of Bozeman, Montana; and WHEREAS, Jon Engen and Jeff Olson have successfully competed in the U. S. Olympic trials; and WHEREAS, Bozeman is proud to have Jon Engen and Jeff Olson representing the United States in the 1988 Winter Olympics; and WHEREAS, Bozeman congratulates Jon Engen and Jeff Olson and wishes these fine athletes success in their competition; NOW, THEREFORE, I, Alfred M. Stiff, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby proclaim the weeks beginning February 13, 1988 as 1988 WINTER OLYMPIANS FROM BOZEMAN WEEKS in the City of Bozeman. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of Bozeman, in the State (SEAL) of Montana, to be affix ed at Bozeman, Montana, this 16th day of February, in the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-eight.
