NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A
CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS APPLICATION WITH A
DEVIATION
This application is evaluated against the certificate of appropriateness and deviation criteria of Section
38.340 of the municipal code and associated standards. Approval or conditional approval may be granted
if the decision maker determines all criteria are met.
The public may comment orally at the public hearing or in writing at or prior to the public hearing
regarding compliance of this application with the required criteria. Comments should identify the specific
criteria of concern along with facts in support of the comment. During the notice period the City will
continue review for compliance with applicable regulations.

Summary: Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) application to remove a portion of the roof at the
rear of the house and construct a second story addition to add 1-bedroom. Applicant is requesting a
60% setback deviation to build the addition above the existing footprint that is 9-feet into the 15-
foot front setback required as detailed in application 19087.
