BOZEMAN TOURISM WEEK 1987
May 18-23, 1987

WHEREAS, the tourism industry is extremely important to the Bozeman Area, contri-
buting to our employment, economic prosperity and international trade
and understanding; and
WHEREAS, each of us benefits from the effects of tourism. It substantially enhances
our personal growth and education. Tourism also promotes intercultural
understanding and appreciation of the geography, history and people of the
Bozeman area. With the economy growing, personal income and leisure will
increase more rapidly. Tourism, therefore, can be expected to play an
even greater role in the lives of the people of Bozeman; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of the significance of the tourism industry to the enhance-
ment of trade, understanding and good will to the City of Bozeman;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Judith A. Mathre, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby proclaim
the week beginning May 18, 1987, as
BOZEMAN TOURISM WEEK 1987
and call upon the people of Bozeman to observe this week with appropriate ceremonies
and activities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
my hand and caused the great seal of the
City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana,
Seal to be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this
18th day of May, in the year of Our Lord,
