JAYCEE WEEK
January 18-24. 1987

WHEREAS. the Bozeman Jaycees have been a vital part of the development of young
leaders for our community for the past forty-one years; and
WHEREAS. this organization of young people has contributed to the betterment of
this community through its involvement in such programs as CPR training.
Special Olympics. annual haunted house/carnivals. and Christmas buying
sprees; and
WHEREAS. the United States Jaycees and its affiliated state and local organizations
have set aside the third week in January to observe the founding of the
Jaycees sixty-seven years ago;
NOW. THEREFORE. I. Judy Mathre. Mayor of the City of Bozeman. do hereby proclaim
the week of January 18-24. 1987. as
JAYCEE WEEK
and urge all citizens of our community to give full regard to the past and continuing
services of the Bozeman Jaycees.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF. I have hereunto set my
