PROCLAMATION
WESTERN WEAR WEEK
June 16-22, 1991

WHEREAS, the College National Finals Rodeo is celebrating its 42nd an-
niversary; and
WHEREAS, the College National Finals Rodeo is being held in Bozeman,
Montana, for the 20th consecutive year; and
WHEREAS, this College National Finals Rodeo will be one of the largest
ever hosted in Bozeman, Montana, with nearly 400 collegiate
contestants being hosted and competing; and
WHEREAS, the Bozeman, Montana, College National Finals Rodeo has
proven to be the quickest, most efficiently run rodeo in the
world; and
WHEREAS, this year1s championship performance will be telecast on The
Nashvi lie Network in September 1991; and
WHEREAS, the College National Finals Rodeo telecast draws millions of
viewers throughout the United States and Canada.
NOW, THEREFORE, I , Robert L. Hawks, Mayor of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, do hereby proclaim the week of June 16-22, 1991 as
"WESTERN WEAR WEEK"
in the City of Bozeman, and encourage the community to support this
event by dressing in western wear during this week-long event.
