WHEREAS, the 1988 Summer Olympics have been held in Seoul, South
Korea: and
WHEREAS, to compete in the Olympics representing the United
States is a prestigious honor for an athlete: and
WHEREAS, Jay Warwick has successfully competed for a Bronze
Medal in the Olympic's Tae Kwon Do Welterweight event: and
WHEREAS, Jay Warwick is the Team Captain for the United States
Team: and
WHEREAS, Jay Warwick is a resident of Bozeman, Montana: and
WHEREAS, Bozeman is proud to have Jay Warwick representing the
United States in the 1988 Summer Olympics: and
WHEREAS, Bozeman congratulates Jay Warwick and wishes this fine
athlete future success.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERT L. HAWKS, Mayor Pro Tempore of the City
of Bozeman, do hereby proudly proclaim October 17 through 23,
1988 as
"JAY WARWICK WEEK"
in the City of Bozeman, Montana.
