HomeMy WebLinkAboutProclamation 95- Bozeman Historic Preservation Week May 6-13 1995 PROCLAMATION BOZEMAN HISTORIC PRESERVATION WEEK May 6-13, 1995 * * * * * * * * * * WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman wholeheartedly encourages and supports an increased awareness of, and appreciation for, Bozeman's cultural resources; and WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman seeks to protect, preserve and enhance neighborhoods or landmarks of significant architectural or historical character for the educational, cultural and economic benefit or enjoyment of its citizens; and WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman seeks to stimulate the restoration and rehabilitation of buildings and all other elements contributing to the character and fabric of Bozeman's historic residential neighborhoods and commercial or industrial areas; and WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman desires to recognize local historic preservation projects of notable merit in the First Annual Bozeman Historic Preservation Awards Ceremony, at the regular City Commission meeting to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 1995. NOW, THEREFORE, I, John C. Vincent, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby proclaim May 6-13, 1995 as "BOZEMAN HISTORIC PRESERVATION WEEK" in the City of Bozeman, and encourage the citizens of Bozeman to work in conjunction with the Bozeman Historic Preservation Advisory Board to take pride in our community's diverse cultural heritage. SEAL IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana, to be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this 1 st day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety-five. ~ - C Mayor
