HomeMy WebLinkAboutProclamation 96- Western Wear Week June 9-16 1996 PROCLAMA TION WESTERN WEAR WEEK June 9-16, 1996 * * * * * * * * * * WHEREAS, the College National Finals Rodeo is celebrating its 47th anniversary; and WHEREAS, the College National Finals Rodeo is being held in Bozeman, Montana, for the 25th year; and WHEREAS, nearly 400 collegiate contestants will be hosted and competing in the College National Finals Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana; and WHEREAS, the Bozeman, Montana, College National Finals Rodeo has proven to be the quickest, most efficiently run rodeo in the world; and WHEREAS, this year's championship performance is tentatively scheduled to be telecast on The Nashville Network; and WHEREAS, the College National Finals Rodeo telecast draws mil/ions of viewers throughout the United States and Canada. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Don E. Stueck, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby proclaim the week of June 9-16, 1996, as "WESTERN WEAR WEEK" in the City of Bozeman, and encourage the community to support this event by dressing in western wear during this week-long event. SEAL IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana, to be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this 3rd day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety-six.
