PROCLAMATION
UNITED WAY DAYS
September 16 to November 30, 1996

WHEREAS, it is important that the City of Bozeman provide needed services for many of
its inhabitants and to express its care and concern for its residents; and
WHEREAS, such services can best be provided by agencies that save lives, train, provide
health care, guide and assist youth, the elderly and the needy; and
WHEREAS, a combined campaign of 32 member agencies of United Way has proved to be
effective and efficient as well as successful in past years using volunteers to
visit their neighbors and businesses for the purpose of assisting in the funding
of such services; and
WHEREAS, the United Way has set a goal of $375,000 for distribution in 1997 to such
agencies and shall begin the campaign on September 16;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Don E. Stueck, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby proClaim
the period from September 16, 1996 to November 30, 1996 as
" UNITED WAY DAYS"
in the City of Bozeman, and encourage the citizens and businesses of Bozeman to cooperate
in this campaign as their hearts dictate, to welcome the volunteers and to give freely in an
attitude of love and concern.
SEAL IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana, to
be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this
sixteenth day of September, in the year of our
Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety-
six.
