PROCLAMATION
RECOGNITION OF KRISTEN HARBOUR FOR HER DANCING ABILITY

WHEREAS, Kristen Harbour is in the eighth grade in the Bozeman school system; and
WHEREAS, Kristen is characterized by her former dance teacher/choreographer, Sandi
Scheer, as a natural athlete and dancer; and
WHEREAS, Kristen has danced ballet, tap, and jazz for only the past three years; and
WHEREAS, Kristen won the 1996-97 Miss Senior USA Dance Classic regional title, in the
13 years-and-up division, performing a lyrical jazz solo routine; and
WHEREAS, Kristen's lyrical jazz routine, "Hotel California", choreographed by her Montana
Ballet teacher, Sandi Scheer, won all four choreography awards; and
WHEREAS, Kristen competed in the USA Dance Classic competition in Las Vegas, on
August 1, 2 and 3, 1997, performing, in a duo, a dance named "A Miracle";
and
WHEREAS, Kristen, following ankle surgery, expects to continue her dance studies at the
Big Sky Dance Center in Bozeman.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Alfred M. Stiff, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby recognize
Kristen Harbour as a talented dancer and an inspiration to others, and encourage the citizens
of Bozeman to applaud Kristen's efforts.
SEAL IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana, to
be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this 6th day
of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand
