PROCLAMATION
BOZEMAN WEED PULL DA V
July 18, 1998

WHEREAS, the City Commission promotes the spirit of cooperation
for achieving economic and environmental balance; and
WHEREAS, the City encourages residents and businesses in Bozeman
to beautify their homes, properties and vacant lots by
proper yard care and general maintenance; and
WHEREAS, several public areas have been adversely impacted by
noxious weeds; and
WHEREAS, the Gallatin County Weed Board and the City's
Beautification Advisory Board have determined that
noxious weeds pose a threat to our local quality of life.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Alfred M. Stiff, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do
hereby proclaim July 18, 1998 as
"WEED PULL DA V"
in the City of Bozeman, and encourage the citizens of Bozeman to work
with the Beautification Advisory Board and City staff to take pride in and
enhance their properties.
SEA L IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana, to
be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this 6th day
of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand
