Alcohol Awareness Month

WHEREAS, on behalf of the citizens of Bozeman, we are pleased to join with
Alcohol and Drug Services of Gallatin Count~, Belgrade Public Schools,
Bozeman Public Schools, the Rural Schoo s of Gallatin County, the
Gallatin County DUI Task Force, Montana State University, Tobacco
Free Bozeman, the GRIP Project, Most of Us, and area communit~
members in recognizinM the month of April as ALCOHOL AW ARENES
MONTH in Bozeman, ontana; and
WHEREAS, setting this week aside offers advocates of alcoholism and drug abuse
prevention an opportunity to educate the public and policy makers about
the effectiveness of community prevention and educatIOn; and
WHEREAS, the diseases of alcoholism and dr~ dependency are among America's
most serious health problems, af ecting every community, whether
urban, rural or frontier; and
WHEREAS, millions of community members are dedicated to educate the public
about alcoholism and drug abuse; and
WHEREAS, this community is committed to decreasing the rates of underage
drinking by providing the policies and role models necessary to ~ive
youth a strong message that alcohol is illegal and dangerous for t eir
development.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andrew L. Cetraro, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby
proclaim April 2004 as
''ALCOHOL AWARENESS MONTH"
in Bozeman, Montana, and hereby call upon all citizens, government agencies, business
leaders, and JJubliC and private institutions in Bozeman to promote and support
ALCOHOL A ARENESS MONTH.

City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana, to
be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this 26th of
