Dear Commissioners,
This morning I read with dismay and horror about a new hotel proposed for our lovely
downtown. Has the project to build the AC Hotel by Marriott been approved by the city?
If not, I urge you, our elected representatives, to make a concerted effort to do the right thing
for our city. Please talk to your constituents: find out if another large, multi-story hotel iswhat they want to see in our downtown area.
I imagine you will hear from many city residents that enough is enough. We have plentiful
lodging options for our guests. While we welcome new visitors, students, business people,families and others interested in what our community has to offer, enough is enough. Our
quality of life is being eroded. We must take action to protect what it is that brings visitorshere: our unique, outdoor-oriented, close-knit community. Surely this is not a project that will
benefit the middle class, hardworking Bozeman families. It will just be another place wecannot afford to patronize.
Please do the right thing and say no to another high rise building in our downtown area that
serves only the needs of the very rich. Enough is enough!
