Good day
I am writing to address the current situation with our new restaurant at 19 South Willson in regards to its proximity to a
church nearby which limits our business. I am the general manager and director of the beverage program. The city
ordinance that is currently blocking our state license has impacted our business in ways that cannot be calculated. I kindly
request this matter to be addressed as it seems to have been stuck in the process for quite some time. We lose 4 hours of
business every weekend by not allowing the sale of alcohol before 11am during our brunch service. Since we do not open
til 11 (per city ordinance) many potential clients have already chosen other places to eat out because of our later hours. I
took this position with the lure of sales based bonuses and that has frustratingly not come to pass. Since I have been
employed, 11 months, there has been talk of opening earlier. Unfortuneately it has limited my own personal income. And
furthermore, there has been no answers or direct communication about why this is. Please accept my public comments in
this manner in wishing it to be resolved.
