Dehlendorf (with the Cannery District) - Broadband InfrastructurePage 1 of 1 April 15, 2019 Bozeman City Commission RE: Broadband as essential infrastructure Commissioners, The development team at Cannery District were early adopters in recognizing the value of broadband fiber to attract and retain tenants back in 2015 as well as looking toward the future. Now, four years later, it is one of the first questions potential tenants ask us as they explore possible office options. The last potential tenant I spoke with has a team in India who works overnight. He then downloads all their work which are very large files. If we didn’t have Bozeman Fiber in the project, this tenant would not have considered Cannery District as a viable option for locating his business. As it stands, he will be moving in September 1, 2019. Approximately 50% of our tenant base uses fiber. That will continue to grow as more tenants will make it a requirement and the price becomes even more affordable. It is essential for maintaining a competitive advantage. We look at broadband as essential infrastructure and trust the Commission will adopt it as such. Sincerely, Barry Brown and Scott Dehlendorf Cannery District Partners
