RE: Memorandum Of Understanding
The Lewis and Clark County Attorney's Office (HIDTA Grant Recipient) will provide a 2019
Dodge Ram pickup VIN# 1 C6RR7FT7KS531492 to the Montana State University Police
Department (MSUPD) for HIDTA operations. For use by the MSUPD from March 10th, 2019
until such time as it is no longer needed and returned to the Lewis and Clark County Attorney's
Office (HIDTA) or funding for the vehicle is no longer made available through the HIDTA Grant.
While the vehicle is in the care, custody, and control of the MSUPD, MSUPD shall purchase and
maintain auto liability insurance (occurrence coverage) with limits of$750,000 per claim and
$1,500,000 per occurrence in accordance with §2-9-108 MCA to cover such claims as may be
caused by an act, omission, or negligence of the MSUPD or officers, agents, representatives,
assignees, or subcontractors. Gallatin county and City of Bozeman deputies, officers, officials,
employees, and volunteers are to be covered as additional insured(s).
MSUPD shall maintain comprehensive and collision insurance coverage on the vehicle for
replacement cost of the vehicle at the time of loss.
The maintenance and operation costs of the vehicle will be the responsibility of MSUPD. MSUPD
will provide fuel for the vehicle.

The Lewis and Clark County Attorneys Office(HIDTA Grant Recipient)will provide a 2017,4DR,Ford F-
150, XL 4x4 Super Crew Cab Styleside 5.5, (VIN:IFTEWIEP6HKD97245) and a 2017 Jeep Cherokee
Latitude 4DR 4x4,(VIN:IC4PJMCB1HD238041)to the Bozeman Police Department for HIDTA operations.
For the use of the Bozeman Police Department from 8/15/2017 until such time as it is no longer needed
and returned to the Lewis and Clark County Attorneys Office (HIDTA) or funding for the vehicle is no
longer made available through the HIDTA Grant.
While the vehicle is in the care,custody,and control of the Bozeman Police Department,the agency shall
