RE: Building Inspections
Dear Commissioners,
It has come to our attention that the inspection process is undergoing some changes.
We have been advised that inspections may take up to 72 hours for a reported
inspection to be completed.
This change will adversely effect our projects in time lost which translates to increased
project costs. Out construction time line hinges around approval from the building
division; first with the time from permit application until it's approved, then working
around scheduling subs and the resulting inspections required.
We appreciate the challenge with retaining good inspectors, and hope that the City
Commission is doing all within their power to encourage good employees to stay.
We look forward to seeing how the Commission and the Building Department handle
the needs of the community.
