With regard to the guidelines for the historic preservation and NCOD regulations that are being adopted I suggest
the following inclusions:
Include the removal of trees from lots in the guidelines ( we are soon to experience the invasion of the ash boar,
which could devastate the trees through out the city.
Start enforcing the guidelines with Large, Large consequences for violations and the removal of said violations
with a cease and desist order until the violations are removed.
Do something about the parking problems in the Historic District. Every other side parking for snow removal;
resident permits, 2 hour parking allowances for non residents … There has to be something.
Better cleaning of streets, especially streets on bike paths.
Lower the speed limit throughout the entire historic district to 15mph, to encourage use of major and
secondary arterials.
Listen to the Historic Preservation Board suggestions and adopt them.
Maintain the NCOD guidelines
Stop making deals for parking requirements with the huge apartment buildings going in.
