RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to appoint one member to the Audit Committee, Citizen-Accountant Position, with a term ending March 1, 2021. BACKGROUND: The Audit Committee has one Citizen-Accountant position open due to a
term expiration. One current committee member has reapplied for a term renewal. No new
applications have been received. The role of the Audit Committee is to advise the City Commission regarding selection of an
auditor, monitoring the audit while in process and reviewing the comprehensive annual financial
report in detail, forwarding a recommendation to the Commission.
The Audit Committee currently has one vacancy. The City Clerkâs Office has received one application, with their relevant qualifications indicated below.
1. Citizen-Accountant Position, expiring March 1, 2021 | Qualifies: P. Ohman (currently held
by P. Ohman) Applicant: Peter Ohman
Deputy Mayor Chris Mehl and Commissioner Jeff Krauss are the City Commission liaisons for this committee.
Audit Committee appointments are Commission appointments.
