Dear City of Bozeman Parking Commission. I would like to comment on the Parking
Commission considering new developers to lease parking spaces that are for the general
public; either in the parking garage or in city parking lots. This is not fair to the people who
want to park downtown. The parking garage was built with City tax payer dollars to provide
additional parking for people using downtown businesses. It was not built for apartment or
condo owners. Enough space is already set aside in the parking garage that is for "leased
used". I hope they are paying the City a generous amount for getting the prime 1st level
parking. It costs me $100 if I get a parking ticket downtown; and sometimes, I can't find a
space in the parking garage. New condo and apartment developers should be required to
provide their own parking garage at their expense; not using spaces that were paid for by city
