Skinger - Aspen Street ProposalFrom: Erica Skinger To: Agenda; Cyndy Andrus; ericaskinger@gmail.com Subject: Input re Aspen Street proposal Date: Friday, February 08, 2019 11:26:35 AM I am concerned for the entertainment/residential/commercial neighborhood around Aspen Street/Tamarack Street/North 5th Ave./North 7th Ave. Also sending this to the Mayor. Please expect a list of opposition to the mixed use Aspen St development "proposed" for where Mixers Club and Fiesta Mexicana now occupy an ancient charming building. I, Erica A. Skinger, Sunset Mobile Home Park resident for 22 years, also wish us to broach discussion of the environmental quality, air and occasionally water, of that area. Since the Ultra High Energy Fiber Optic Ring was installed and soon seemed likely to have been put into use in north Bozeman, serious housekeeping and physiological intrusions are in evidence. Is this health, safety, and general welfare? I have a list of concerns about that, and assume it is the antithesis of sustainability. Are we evaluating that MAJOR experiment? I took from the rack at the planning office, a Community Development sheet on Administrative Appeals. I have not read it yet. When Marty Matsen, Community Development head at the Planning Office, said Aspen Street project was informally approved, and that it would not even be going through the City Commission steps, and that we have no Mid-town Plan Board, I was struck with the impression that things are not right. Was our "development review process" handled within our "rule of law"? The tax increment finance was not all North 7th planning took up, and "the values and policy established by the community" in the Bozeman Community Plan 2009 have not been taken seriously.
