Economic Development Council since its inception in 2011; now 8 years
Please explain your relevant qualifications, interests and experiences:
As a founding member of the EDC, I have institutional knowledge of the origins and process of the EDC to
where it operates today. I have kept abreast of the City's planning and strategic initiatives and have enjoyed
lending my time and service to this important community function. I lived in the City limits for 20+ years,
and still own property in the City, and am an owner/partner with a vacation rental and property
management business with offices located within the City limits. I began my career in Bozeman as a
consultant entrepreneur, then completed 15 years of senior leadership service with the area's largest
private employer leading business development and market expansion initiatives, and now working as an
independent contractor to help grow small business and opportunities in the City and surrounding greater
Gallatin Area. I have a passion for economic development initiatives and working to advance our local and
regional community. I have worked extensively through the years to support various community
organizations including: Prospera Business Network, HRDC, NRMEDD, Bozeman Fiber, Bozeman School
District Long Range Planning Committee, and the Bozeman City EDC. I am willing to continue service for
another 3 year term, if the City Commission is supportive of maintaining my tenured experience on this
council. If the Commission is seeking new membership, I understand and thank them for the opportunity to
serve the City for the past 8 years. It has been a rewarding experience to see how far economic
development progress has come since the first investment made by our City commissioners. I am excited to
experience the momentum and see its future endeavors realized. Thank you for your consideration.
