SUBJECT: Formal Cancellation of the February 18, 2019 City Commission
Meeting
MEETING DATE: February 11, 2019
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
RECOMMENDATION: Approve cancelling the regularly scheduled City Commission
meeting on February 18, 2019 in observance of Presidents’ Day.
BACKGROUND: City offices will be closed in observance of Presidents’ Day on Monday,
February 18, 2019. The City Commission may agree to cancel this meeting as it falls on a national
holiday.
Section 2.02.070 of the Bozeman Municipal Code states that the City Commission shall hold a
regular meeting on each of the first four Mondays of every month and may hold a regular meeting
on the fifth Monday of the month. However, when the day affixed for any regular meeting of the
Commission falls upon a day designated by law as a legal or national holiday the meeting may be
canceled by the Commission.
