Director’s Report
January 22, 2019
STREAMLINE:
We received the allocation amounts for fiscal year 2019-2020. The MDT Operating Grant amount is $1,150,046 and TransAde amount is
$210,717. Both Operating and Capital Grant applications are due March 1, 2019. The Advisory Board will be presented with the Coordination Plan. A vote to recommend to the HRDC Board
that the grant application be submitted to MDT. At the TAC meeting the capital requests from Streamline/Galavan and other agencies will be ranked as part of the application.
The Why
I Ride Streamline Campaign was started last August and continues to engage riders and show the general public that the bus is available to everyone. It’s also meant to reinforce the
benefits to non-users as well. The latest efforts have been filming for a documentary including pop ups at the Gallatin Valley Mall and MSU. We are now looking to do a broader marketing
campaign and would like to engage the Marketing Committee.
On Wednesday, January 9th the Campus Shuttle was launched as a pilot project funded by ASMSU. If it’s successful the Senate
will look at funding the route permanently likely through increased student fees.
The Operations Committee will need to meet over the next several months to look at potential improvements
to the routes and stop times. As the City continues to expand plans to address the growth need to be developed.
