The purpose of the Leose L¡mît Colcu,otor is to utilize park¡ng ¡ndustry best
practices in determining how many parking leases the Bozeman Parking
Commission (BPC) can sell in the Br¡dger Perk Downtown Garage, while
ma¡nta¡n¡ng reasonable confidence that adequate capacity ex¡sts for both
leased and short term parking. The rationele ¡s that the BPC can 'oversell'
monthly/annual leases (more leases than spaces) by mainteining a margin of
excess capac¡ty based on "Peak Hour" utilizat¡on. Employing e common
parking management stEtegy, the BPC, upon advice of Rlck Williams
Consulting, has chosen to use a factor equel to 50% of unused parking spaces
during the Peak Hour. The Lease Limit Calculetor w¡ll continue to evolve in
accuracy, as beüer data ¡s gathered and access¡ble through implementat¡on
of the new T2 garage revenue control systems.
