RE: Letter of Acknowledgment: City of Bozeman's Brownfields Grant Applications
Hazardous Substance Assessment and Petroleum Product Assessment
Dear Ms. Andrus:
I am writing to express Montana Department of Environmental Quality's (DEQ's)
acknowledgment of the City of Bozeman's efforts to obtain a U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency Brownfields Hazardous Substance Assessment Grant and a Brownfields Petroleum
Product Assessment Grant to address contamination throughout the City of Bozeman.
I understand that the assessment funds will be used to assess hazardous substance and petroleum
Brownfields sites throughout the City of Bozeman. The DEQ supports Brownfields efforts in
Montana, and wishes to promote assessment and cleanup activities that allow contaminated
properties to be put into productive and beneficial use.
If you have any questions or comments about petroleum brownfield sites, please feel free to call
Brandon Kingsbury at 406-444-6547 or email him at bkin sbury@mt.gov. If you have any
questions or comments about hazardous substance brownfields sites, please contact Jason Seyler
