" Montana Department 'AQ�, w of Environmental Quality December 24, 2018 Cyndy Andrus -Mayor City of Bozeman 121 N Rouse Ave. Bozeman, MT 59715 RE: Letter of Acknowledgment: City of Bozeman's Brownfields Grant Applications Hazardous Substance Assessment and Petroleum Product Assessment Dear Ms. Andrus: I am writing to express Montana Department of Environmental Quality's (DEQ's) acknowledgment of the City of Bozeman's efforts to obtain a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Hazardous Substance Assessment Grant and a Brownfields Petroleum Product Assessment Grant to address contamination throughout the City of Bozeman. I understand that the assessment funds will be used to assess hazardous substance and petroleum Brownfields sites throughout the City of Bozeman. The DEQ supports Brownfields efforts in Montana, and wishes to promote assessment and cleanup activities that allow contaminated properties to be put into productive and beneficial use.
