I am greatly concerned that police are under trained or are being trained policy rather than law. Training for
police should be doubled in order to have a full understanding of the law and methods to de escalate
situations and solve problems without violence. I find it disturbing that barbers are required to have 1500
hours of training before they can use a straight razor but police only need 880 hours to use a gun, taser,
mase, baton.... on citizens. Even more disturbing is that they spend more time learning how to shoot than
learning the law. This shows there primary role as aggressors not law enforcers or peace officers.
Rather than outsmarting criminals we out gun them but this only creates more crime and aggression. The
article below is from Cambridge university and explains why supplying police with taser increased the use of
force by 48%. Knowledge is power.
