1. Call to Order, Introductions and New Business. 41
Ralph Zimmer, PTS Committee Chair, called the meeting to order at 12:00 PM and 42
introductions of attendees were made. 43 44 2. Agenda. 45 Ralph offered the opportunity to provide comments on the agenda. None were made. 46

4. Minutes. 50
Approval of minutes, February 14th minutes. Correction to Line 32 to read “Carolyn Poissant 51
(Parks and Rec)”. Tom Foster moved approval with that correction and Dillon Fatouros 52 second. Motion passed. 53 54
Minutes of March 7th. No requests were made to postpone approval. Motion to approve the 55
minutes was made by Tom Foster and Dillon Fatouros second. Motion passed. 56

5. Report on Results of Previous Actions & Consideration of Follow-Up Action. 58 Strategic plan tentatively scheduled for consideration and approval at April 16th 59

7. Liaison Officer Reports- 65
Rick Musson- nothing at this time- Short staffed no traffic unit as of now- 3rd and main 66
doesn’t have a pedestrian crossing- It is in the TMP- 67 68
8. Reports from non voting members- ( city, county & schools)- 69 John with the city of Bozeman and streets- many projects this summer more than last 70
summer, especially on the west side. May 23rd leaf pick up, will have drop off sites at the 71
shops. Linda Dupriest with City PW contractor- new construction going on and 72 resurfacing of roads, new bike lanes, bike routes. Linda will provide a list to Ralph prior to 73
our next meeting so he can send them out before the meeting. 74

9. Discussion of Transportation Impacts of Planned changes at current Bozeman High 76
School- 77 78
Jeff Lusin discussed the Van Winkle stadium renovations, plans to shift the stadium to the 79
north- planning to get on the city commission agenda- submitting for permit middle of May 80
pending city commission. Currently working with the city regarding the roundabout at the 81
intersection of 15th and Beal. The current plan implies the two way stop- the next step would 82 be a roundabout or light, this does require a land acquisition. The plan shows a dedicated right 83 turn only to help with congestion. This right-of-way would be titled to the City of Bozeman, 84
it will be a city maintained street. Opportunity for public comment at the city commission 85
meeting- at the Wilson April 23rd 530pm – school board public comment- 86
87 10. Reports from related groups, ( BABAB, TCC, GVLT, SAFER BOZEMAN, GAP) – 88
89 a. Matt Marcinek with GVLT reported they are geared up for the season, a lot of trail 90
projects in the next couple of months- crews will go out to work on the trails once 91
the conditions get better. Painted Hills gap will be taken care of April 16th hoping 92 to get the easement approved, construction will start later this year. 93

b. GAP- Ralph reported non profit 501c3 established to promote the shared use path. 95
The City is considering the annexation at the north west corner of the frontage road 96
and Nelson road- the railroad owns land and MDT doesn’t have an easement. 97
GAP commissioned headwaters economics to study economic impacts regarding 98
the shared use path. 99

11. I90 Safety Concerns & Possible Mediation 102 City Commission met on March 5th and voted 4-0 to request the State to establish a temporary 103
speed limit to 60mph. The County Commission met on March 13th and considered the issue 104
but rejected the proposed request to MDT to a temporary reduced speed limit. The County 105 Commission had a second meeting March 19th and voted to request MDT to put in place 106
signage displaying to the motorists a law requiring them to slow down and, if possible, move 107
over if emergency vehicles were present. There is a sign going east towards Livingston on 108
I90. 109
