Call to order, 7:30 a.m. Dennis called the Meeting to order at 7:33 a.m. II. Disclosures of Ex Parte Communication There were no disclosures of ex parte communication. III. Changes to the Agenda There were no changes to the agenda. IV. Approval of June 2016 minutes -See Attachment Exhibit 1 Pamela asked for a change of wording on section 8 of the June minutes, in regards to the approval of the Downtown strategic parking management plan being approved by the City Commissioners. Chris motioned to approve the minutes with the corrections that Pamela asked for. Public Comment – Members of the audience or their agent may be invited to present testimony or evidence. To be recognized, each person desiring to give testimony or evidence shall step forward and, after being recognized, give their name and address for the record. The presiding officer may establish a time frame for each public comment but in no case shall such timeframe be less than three (3) minutes per speaker. The presiding officer may lengthen or shorten the time allotted for public testimony. Mary Vent Hull (416 E. Story)- Stated she was working on her 55th year in Bozeman. She brought in some things that she would like the commission to take a look at. One is an article from the Chronicle about the Taste of Bozeman in 1982 or 1983 and the other about crazy days. She read the last paragraph from crazy days, “Commissioner Mary Vent Hull said that “the city shouldn’t be involved in such matters”. Mary also wrote up a survey and had about 12 people fill it out for her regarding the parking situation in downtown Bozeman. She stated she will bring them in later today to have them handed out to the commissioners. She stated that reinstalling parking meters would be crazy. Dennis closed public comment. VI. Parking Manager Report -See Attachment Exhibit 2 Tom informed the BPC that the 2nd and last pay on foot machine has stopped working. Both machines have been recycled. He is working to replace all signs in the garage to state that only credit cards can be taken for payment. Revenue hasn’t changed in the last month. Tom also went over budget information and how some money that was not spent in FY16 will carry over to FY17. VII. Discussion and adoption of Rick Williams Parking Report.(Resolution 2016-01 Exhibit 3) The BPC had a conversation about the Rick Williams Parking Report. This Parking plan has been ongoing for the past year. It has had 6 public meetings and is now ready to be adopted by the BPC. The next step will be going in front of the City Commissioners on July 18th 2016. Pamela motioned that the Rick Williams Parking Plan should be adopted by the BPC. New business. Chuck reminded the BPC that the commission room will be used for the elementary school starting in September. AV Caption will be moving up to the Madison room. The BPC will be able to use the same time and date for the meetings. IX. Adjournment. Chris adjourned at 8:31a.m. The next Bozeman Parking Commission meeting will be held July 14th, 2016 at 7:30am at City Hall. Bozeman Parking Commission meetings are open to all members of the public.
