Call to Order Pam called the meeting to order. 0:03:36 4. Parking Extension on Main St.-Debbie Arkell Debbie held a public meeting regarding the parking in front of the 777 Building on East Main. She had five people representing three different businesses that showed up for the meeting. They all felt that parking was working fine. It is Debbie’s recommendation that we only change the parking in front of the 777 Building to a 2 hour zone. Pam suggested that the 2 hour zone be done on both sides of the street and not just in front of the 777 building. Everyone agreed they would like a report in about three months to see how the 2 hour zones are working. The decision made was to go ahead with the 2 hour zone in front of the 777 Building only as per Debbie's recommendation. 0:10:54 3. On the Streets- Rich Mclane Rich reviewed the signage and the parking on Tracy on the northwest side of the street. This is the side of Tracy that is now a one way. There are people parking between the alley and main on the west side and Rich is wondering whether or not we need to put a new sign up to prohibit them from doing so. James suggested that we have a new pole and sign put up for no parking. Debbie made a note to have the new sign put up soon. Rich discussed an incident on Babcock by Gallatin Laundry where an employee had come out and assaulted an officer. He was taken to jail. This place is not a safe place to park and has always been a no parking zone. There has been additional 15 minute signage added to Tracy to allow for accessing the business during the construction on Tracy. Rich spoke about the new signs that have been put up on the downtown corners that say no skateboarding/bicycling/rollerblading on the sidewalks. This will be a little more help for the parking officers so that now they can tell someone that there are signs in place and that the offender can see they are doing something that is wrong. Rich noted that Bob Coffin has been out for 3 weeks and had surgery yesterday and that he will still be out for another 4-6 weeks. Rich has completed two hiring sessions and still has not found a new person for the open position. 0:33:42 5. Garage Update- James Goehrung They are scheduled to do another pour next Wednesday or Thursday James stated. James did visit with Martel Construction last week and they are hoping to have all of the concrete poured by Labor Day and then the last thing that will need to be finished will be the masonry work. James is still trying to get the condo agreement released from the attorneys. The layout for the public restroom space has been approved. The funding for this project still needs to be discussed at a later date. James mentioned that he needs to have some bicycle racks at the Garage and was wondering if these would be in the garage or outside. Everyone noted that there needs to be no skateboarding or roller- skating in the garage. 0:40:05 7. Garage Manager Interview Tools- Laurae Clark Laurae would like everyone to look at the interview tools and to see if there is anything they would like to see changed or what everyone thinks of the questions. The last tool that needs to be done is a reference check tool. 0:44:00 8. Meeting Adjourned The meeting was adjourned at 8:30.
