Agreement with Bozeman Health for Front Street Interceptor Design Commission Memorandum REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: Griffin Nielsen, Engineer I SUBJECT: Ratify the City Manager’s signature on a City of Bozeman Infrastructure Design Agreement with Bozeman Health for the design of the Front Street Interceptor AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent MEETING DATE: December 17, 2018 RECOMMENDATION: Ratify the City Manager’s signature on a City of Bozeman Infrastructure Design Agreement with Bozeman Health for the design of the Front Street Interceptor BACKGROUND: The Front Street Interceptor is currently at capacity and requires improvements, as defined in the City’s Capital Improvement Program Project No. WWIF11, prior to development on the east side of town. Bozeman Health approached the City with plans to expand their site on Highland but the current condition of the interceptor prohibits them from moving forward. The City’s timeline for this project didn’t accommodate Bozeman Health’s project so they agreed to complete the design of the sewer improvements so they could move forward with their project. Bozeman Health’s site plan (18329) was approved on the condition that this infrastructure design agreement be executed prior to building permit approval. This agreement stipulates that Bozeman Health submit the final plans and specifications of the Front Street Interceptor design to the City prior to January 1, 2019. The City then intends to construct the improvements in 2019. Bozeman Health also agrees to obtain the easements and complete a hydraulic analysis associated with the improvements. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None. 245 FISCAL EFFECTS: The Capital Improvement Program includes replacement of the Front Street Interceptor (WWIF11) in FY19. ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
