Recently the City of Bozeman received notice of a planning grant award for the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG)authorizing grant funds for a Housing Needs Assessment. Community Development Division staff are excited to begin working with the City of Bozeman to complete the project. As the recipient of a CDBG planning grant award, all awardees must provide the following startup conditions,to enter into a contract prior to the first draw request,as set forth in the planning grant guidelines: • Conference call • Final budget and implementation schedule • Obtaining firm commitment of other funding sources After the contract has been executed,the following documentation must also be provided: • Certificate of liability insurance coverage and proof of worker's compensation coverage • Procurement of professional services • Designation of Deposit and Signature Certification forms If your project fails to meet startup requirements, execute a contract with the Department, or comply with the terms and conditions of the contract or grant authorization, any project costs incurred will be your sole responsibility.Any eligible project costs incurred on or after the date of your award letter are eligible for reimbursement of grant funds, once all the required information has been submitted.
