SUBJECT: Authorize the City Manager to Sign Amendment #1 to the City / State Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the N. 7th Avenue Corridor (N-118) Streetscape Projects and Maintenance, Bozeman, Montana

AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to Sign the Amendment. BACKGROUND: In October 2017, the City of Bozeman and the Montana Department of Transportation signed a memorandum of agreement regarding the maintenance of streetscape improvements made by the City to the N. 7th Avenue streetscape. MDT recently agreed to the installation of curb bulbs and crosswalk enhancements at the corner of Villard St. and N. 7th Ave. Since maintenance responsibility for these new items was not delineated in the original agreement, it is necessary to amend that agreement to include the new improvements. As with most of the other improvements to the corridor installed under a revocable encroachment permit, the City is agreeing to take maintenance responsibility for these new improvements.
