To begin, I think this proposed building is quite possibly the biggest slap in the face as aMontanan I could receive right now. Not only on a daily basis from 6am-10pm we at the Blackmore, and surrounding neighbors, have to deal with the earth-shaking construction goingon across the street from the intensely controversial (and dare I say unwanted) Black & Olive project, but now they want to remove the one aspect of our current, well-established building(mind you The Blackmore is the oldest apartment building in Bozeman - 1913) that makes life living in downtown Bozeman sustainable. I currently pay $85 a month for a garage andparking spot on the purposed land. If I don’t have access to those I will most likely have to move and so will a lot of other residents. So, is the object of the Bozeman CommunityDevelopment to run out all of the current, long-term downtown residents? Secondly, the fact that the owner of the Blackmore hasn’t notified any of us current tenants of the purposed plan directly (if I hadn’t walked down Olive St. the other day as a fluke Iwouldn’t even have know), because he is banking on stuffing his pockets and having a cushy, brand new unit for himself is quite possibly the most despicable and least Montanan thing Ican think of. No one is looking out for the current downtown Bozeman residents and it is honestly just disappointing. I grew up here and really thought we were better. If you have anylove and sense of pride for what Bozeman and Montana currently are you will not allow this building to be approved. It is complete nonsense. Money for these greedy developers is all thatthis will produce. The downtown, local surrounding community as a whole will be forever damaged. Sincerely, Becca Zabawa 120 S. Black Ave. Apt. Y Bozeman, MT 59715
