Hello Commissioners,
This is a head's up e mail.
On Monday, October 8. I spotted a flock of wild turkeys feeding along the roadside at the edge of the new
Story Mill Park between Griffin and Rouse.
Today, October 9 I observed spraying of a green (probably colored to see where it was landing) along the
roadside in the same location.
Either this is a fertilizer or herbicide. Yes, there are many varieties of 'weeds" in the areas along the new
sidewalks and over by the chain link fence. However you are probably not aware that there are many
varieties of wildlife - deer, turkeys, other bird and animal species who feed there.
If it is a herbicide - it behooves you to find out what kind of herbicide and if there is any life threatening or
possible sickening for wild life.
The City Commissioners should be aware of what is happening in our neighborhoods and help promote
being good neighbors to all who share our city - human and wild.
Please find out the substance used, it's safety to lives affected and report back to me with the information.
