HomeMy WebLinkAboutEx 5 BPC 10 12 2018 PPM October 18 ReportT,BOZEMAN PARKI NG COM M ISSIONParkine Program Manager's ReportDate: October 4,2OLgTo: Bozeman Parking CommissionFrom: Ed Meece, Parking Program ManagerAn update of major developments, in September, includes:o T2=The ppM continued to lead implementation of the 2018 parking management and enforcement technologyproject (T2), assisted by numerous other city departments.o Garage Storape Ctoset: The PPM worked with the City Attorney's Office to draft an agreement for the continuedrental of a small parking garage storage closet by Starky's Restaurant.o Climate Assessment & Resiliencv: The PPM participated in an interview with the Sustainability Director to assessthe resiliency of the Parking Services Division to threats caused by climate change.o Ordinance # 2010: The PPM assisted ACM Winn with the preparation of materials for presentation to the BozemanCity Commission for Ordinance # 2O7O, expanding the MSU Residential Parking Permit District by two blocks.o MLCT: The PPM attended the Montana League of Cities Annual Conference in Butte; September 27th.o CiW Court: The PPM presented the city's case to Municipal Court in two separate parking citation appeals.o MSU Brochure: The PPM initiated a project to develop a new tri-fold brochure that explains the operation andenforcement of parking regulations within the MSU Residential Parking Permit District. Final internal review is on-going at this time.o Parking Garase & Lot Sisnage: The PPM worked with Clean Slate Group to design new signage for the parkinggarage and lots the implements the new lot naming nomenclature, and provides better instructions andwayfinding within the parking Barage; consistent with the 2008 signage plan and utilizing the "P" logo.o UDC Lease Request: The PPM reviewed a request for fifty (50) additional UDC leases within the parking garage,for the purpose of assisting a proposed development in the B-3. However, there are not sufficient leaseopportunities available in the garage at this time - so the request was denied.FinancialUpdateRevenues for the fiscal yeqr dre ot 22% (w/out TIFD funds).Expenditures for the fiscol year ore ot 23% (w/out TIFD funds).
