Dear Mayor Andrus:
A week or so ago I had the opportunity to chat with one of the city's animal control officers who
was patrolling the Bogart Park area.
She was so professional, knowledgeable and friendly. And seemed very dedicated to her job
and responsibilities.
The city is very fortunate to have her working on our behalf.
As someone who walks often on the wonderful Gallagator Trail I have say there is a major
problem with people letting their dogs off leash.
I would say at le st '/of people let their dogs run where they're not supposed to.
Once a overly friendly dog jum ed up on my wife's leg while we were on our walk and tore a
small hole in my wife's jeans.
Anyway, I wish you guys could get this off-leash problem under control. I think if you had
someone down at the base of Peet's Hill on the Gallagator you could sit there all day writing
tickets. So many tickets that I think in a very short time you'd collect enough in fines to get a city
budget surplus going on! I
Again, I'd like to communicate to you t at first, the city's animal control officer is simply
awesome. And the city has an out of c ntrol problem with people walking their dogs off leash.
