There is a tremendous amount of community planning currently scheduled and/or underway including: 1. City Strategic Plan 2. City Growth Policy 3. Unified Development Code (UDC) Update 4. Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District (NCOD) Update 5. Affordable Housing Plan 6. Downtown Strategic Parking Management Plan (adopted and being implemented) Considering the continued validity of the 2009 Downtown Plan and the myriad of other plan revisions, there is no need to update the Downtown Plan at this time. Until such time, it is imperative that the Downtown Partnership member organizations (BID, DBA, URD) be informed and engaged in the six planning processes outlined above to ensure the continued growth and vibrancy of downtown remains a priority. Next Steps: 1. Chris will compile a reference document describing each of the pending planning processes 2. BID/URD stakeholders (business and property owners) meeting(s) will be held to educate our constituents about the planning processes and their relevance to downtown 3. Chris and boards will develop strategies to actively participate in the relevant planning processes
