Call Meeting to Order at 4:36 B. Changes to the Agenda C. Public Comment *Please state your name and address in an audible tone of voice for the record. This is the time for individuals to comment on matters falling within the purview of the Committee. There will also be an opportunity in conjunction with each action item for comments pertaining to that item. Please limit your comments to three minutes. D. Introduction, new Communications Coordinator Melody Mileur Melody gives an update about her position and her current work plan and possible additions to her work plan moving forward. The board is VERY excited about the new position and the role it plays in Bozeman and specifically with our board. The board also commends Chris and the commission for recognizing the need for the position and finding the financing for it. The board also mentions how much this position can help engage a younger demo and the outreach to the entire community. E. Minutes 1. Approval of minutes from March 28, 2018 – Terry motions, Mary 2nds, all in favor F. Disclosure of Comments or Information Received Board members should disclose information or discussions they have had regarding a board related topic. G. Commission Update, Deputy Mayor Chris Mehl Chris thanks group for hosting clean up, and felt it was a success. He’s had one inquiry regarding beautification awards in fall. Tanya asked how to convey to the commission how this board’s activities fit in to the strategic plan? Chris suggests we present to the board, or write a note to the Commission, maybe in Oct. before awards? H. Action/Discussion Items 1. Clean Up Day 2018 – wrap up: final budget, notes for next year One comment…need to rip apart bags in advance, maybe have a separate hallway station with bags, gloves, extra materials 2. 2018 Bozeman Beautification Awards – work plan and timeline Wednesday, Nov. 7 at Baxter, continue heavy apps but less than in 2017, same time as 2017….6:30 apps and no-host bar, 7pm presentation starts. Divvy up jobs for event…using Tanya’s spreadsheet. Terry gives a brief update on BBAB’s role in the award ceremony and presentation preparations. The board needs to begin seeking nominations. Tanya to update the list of award recipients and get the board that list with the call for nominations Go live with online nominations by Aug. 1, make deadline for nominations mid-Sept. 21 October 3 is date of award selections and ceremony presenters. October 17 is deadline for getting Amanda any additional info for the PPT and to get Tanya a list of people to invite and who received an award (4 max/award). Tanya to send out food budget…maybe hire Doug from bountiful table again? Changing Sept. 26 board meeting to Oct. 3. Oct. 3 board meeting will be the date we choose the award recipients Awards will be assembled during Oct. 24 board meeting Next Meeting is Wed. Aug. 22 at 4:30pm I.
