RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to appoint one member to the Bozeman Tourism Business Improvement District Board a term ending July 31, 2022.
BACKGROUND: The Bozeman Tourism Business Improvement District Board has one vacant
position due to a term expiration. One member has reapplied. In August, 2009 the City Commission created the BTBID Board to manage the newly created
District (Cht. 2.90, BMC). The mission of the Board is to promote tourism that generates room
nights for lodging facilities in the city of Bozeman by effectively marketing the region as a
preferred travel destination. The Board is comprised of seven members appointed by the City Commission, serving staggered four-year terms. Board appointees must either be a property owner within the District or the duly authorized designee of an owner of property within the District.
The Bozeman Tourism Business Improvement District Board currently has one vacant

I have been in the hotel industry for all of my life. I have been experiencing the travel and tourism industry
first hand for the last 35 years specifically in Bozeman. I have also served on the BTBID for the last couple of
years with my current term expiring on July 31, 2018. I would like to continue to be a voice on this board as
Bozeman navigates through impressive growth and changing times. Thank you for your consideration as I
would do my best to offer constructive insight going forward if on the BTBID board.
