BACKGROUND: Attached is Resolution 4951 and Change Order No. 1 for the above referenced project. The change order covers minor items identified during construction requiring work not included in the construction contract but authorized under change proposal requests made by the Contractor and negotiated and approved by the Engineer and City during the progress of the work. Change Order No. 1 amends the contract price by a net increase of $20,254.63 and adds 67 days to the contract time. The contract time extension was necessary to allow membrane roof replacement for Digester 1, Digester 2 and the old admin building to occur during dry weather conditions. FISCAL EFFECTS: Work authorized under the change proposal requests made by the Contractor and approved by the Engineer have already been paid. Change Order No. 1 amends the contract price for the project to $859,054.63. Sufficient capital funding exists in the WRF budget to cover the total amended contract price.
