Ray - Residential Parking PermitsFrom:Jen Ray To:Agenda Subject:Residential Parking Date:Monday, August 06, 2018 10:42:28 AM Hello, This is in regards to the new "residential parking permits." I use that term loosely because nopermit was issued. As a citizen we are required by you the parking division to take a day off work, lose wages for time spent at this office, fill out a form, provide proof of residence eventhough this is public record, sit in line, pay a hefty fee (which we have seen go up from $10 to $25 with no explanation as to why), only to be told that now instead of being issued an actualpermit we are now required to go online and "register" not only our vehicle, but every visitor's vehicle that could potentially stay at our place during this year. Not only have you made thisprocess incredibly burdensome for the taxpayers, but you have now made it inefficient. This is simply a way to make even more money off hardworking taxpayers by issueing tickets to theirguests. I can barely rememeber my own vehicle information now I am expected to memorize every visitors information and remember to go online with our extremely slow wifi and inputthat information. I like most people work a full time job and have a household to run, I don't have time to do this everytime I have someone decide to visit as well. I now have to rememberanother log in, because I don't have enough of those to remember as it is. Please reconsider these new rules. One suggestion would be to have residence be able to do allof this online without having to go down to the office only be to be told they have to go online anyway. Thank you,Jennifer Ray
