HomeMy WebLinkAboutEx 2 BPC 08092018 Resoluton 2018 06 Naming LotsPage 1 of 2DBOZEMAN PARKING COMISSIONRESOLUTTON 2018-06A RESOLUTION OF TIIE BOZEMAN PARKING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMÄ.N, MONTANA,OFFICIALLY NAMING THE EXISTING PUBLIC PARKING ('SURFACE') LOTS IN A MA¡INER THATIDENTIFIES THEIR STREET LOCATION, AS R.ECOMMBNDED IN THE 2016 DOWNTOWN STRATEGICPARKING MÄNAGEMENT PLAN.WHEREAS, the Bozeman City Commission created and empowered the Bozeman Parking Commissionpursuant to Resolution Numbers 1676,1839,3803, and 4577; and.WHEREAS, the authority granted through the previously listed resolutions, and Title 7 - Chapter 14 - Part 46of the Montana Code Annotated, permits the Bozeman Parking Commission to assign names to the surface parking lots fortlre purpose ofoperational efficiency and easier identification by the general public; and,\ryHEREAS, tlre 2016 Downtown Strategic Parking Management Plan recommends the renamirrg of all publicparking 'surface' lots in a manner that makes it easier for the general public to locate and utilize the public parking system;NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Bozeman Parking Commission assigns the following names tothe public parking 'surface' lots within the B-3 zoning district, and instructs that all signage, legal and generaldocumentation, reporting, and other communications reflect only these names:o Babcock Lot (located at 315 E. Babcock Street)o Black Lot (located at 106 E. Mendenhall Avenue)o N. tWillson Lot2 (located at 41rW. Mendenhall Avenue, next to 5 West)o N. V/illson Lot 1 (located at24 N.
