HomeMy WebLinkAboutDirector's Report_07.2018/ Director’s Report July 24, 2018 STREAMLINE: Ben and Patricia from Transportation for America (T4A) came for a site visit on 6/18-6/19/18. They met with someone from Blackhawk, Bozeman Health, Community Health Partners, MSU and WTI. They also had a chance to visit with Mayor Andrus. Based on all that feedback, our team discussed with them what the workshop should look like. This will likely include a public presentation one evening and a bus tour challenge for the participants. The dates of the workshop will be 9/25 – 9/26, so please plan to attend. It will be important to have people present that represent, help make decisions, and use Streamline. Other participants will include City leaders, major employers/chambers, art community, and others. The City presented us with a compromise for the Downtown Transfer Station Area. The indoor space will be shared by the City parking staff and a designated space for bus riders, including a public restroom. They also plan to add two covered shelters on the island along Mendenhall, both will be accessible for wheelchairs. In the initial budget session Gallatin County denied Streamline’s request to match the $64,000 additional money from the City of Bozeman for the Sunday Service and ½ Hour Frequency on the Blueline in the mornings. There is one more public hearing on August 7th at 9am if we want to try to plead our case again.
