Dear Mayor,
Thank you for your letter dated July 11, 2018.
As was mentioned in my previous letter,the Gallatin County Commissioners continue to look
forward to discussing the improvements to Oak Avenue and Ferguson Street with the City. I
concur that'we have many mutual constituents that would like to see this issue resolved . I do
not concur that two governments meeting to discuss an important issue would translate into a
`political theater'.
There is expectation from our constituents,as well as the press,that an opportunity exists for
our discussions to be open to the public and transparent. In addition,as we have discussed,
since your deadline for concluding our meetings is Aug 6th,we need to be as productive as
possible,by including as many commissioners from both the city and county as possible,in our
meetings.
I appreciate the materials that you attached to your letter. We still have questions regarding
the important questions included in my July 2nd letter. Again,we respectfully ask that the city
commissioners consider our request to meet with the county commissioners as a quorum—in a
public meeting.
Sincerely, J
