Award

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to sign the Notice of Award to Montana Lines, Inc. for Schedule I in the amount of $48,639.80, and final contract documents once
received.
BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy of the Notice of Award for the above referenced project. The project is for the striping of Oak Street between 3rd and 7th Avenue to add an additional lane on Oak at 7th and reconfigure the bike lane for the full length of the project. It also includes new signing and a new signal head to match the changes in striping and lane configuration.
The project cost is below the threshold required for bidding, so quotes were solicited from 3
contractors. The low quote was submitted by Montana Lines, Inc. in the amount of $48,639.80. The engineers estimate for the work was $51,974.00. The project is included in the FY19 Arterial and Collector fund of the Capital Improvement Plan in the amount of $60,000.00. The Notice of Award and Bid Tabulation are attached.

ALTERNATIVES: Disapprove
FISCAL EFFECTS: The project will be paid from the Arterial and Collector Street Fund.
