SUBJECT: Extension of Response Time For Bridger Vale Annexation and Zone Map Amendment, located at 806 Manley Road to January 31 ,2019, Application 17230. MEETING DATE: July 16, 2018
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent RECOMMENDATION: Approval of applicant response time extension for completion of the
annexation agreement for Bridger Vale Annexation and Zone Map Amendment to January 31, 2019.
BACKGROUND: On October 23, 2017, the City Commission held a public hearing to consider the possible annexation and initial zoning for 6.49 acres located at 806 Manley Road. After conducting the public hearing, the Commission discussed the application and a motion to approve the annexation failed
on vote of 2-3. The video of the meeting is available

The agenda number is H.6 and the item begins at three hours and twelve minutes into the meeting. The applicant’s representative submitted a request for the City Commission to reconsider this action. On
December 4th, the City Commission decided to reconsider the application. The item then appeared on the December 11, 2017 action agenda. The Commission approved the reconsideration and the item was then heard by the Commission on February 5, 2018.
The Commission approved the annexation on February 5, 2018 on a vote of 4-1. At the applicant’s request the Commission allowed a longer response time for completion of the annexation process. The

The subdivision and PUD applications for this property continue through the review process. The applicant requests additional time to complete the development review process before completing the annexation. Staff has considered the request and finds no impediments to the extension.

RE: Bridger Vale Annexation and Zone Map Amendment, Approval Extension Request

Dear Mr. Saunders,
The Bridger Vale Annexation and Zone Map Amendment was approved by the City Commission
during the February 5, 2018 City of Bozeman Commission Hearing. This approval included a
180-day delay period to allow the Planned Unit Development (PUD) and Subdivision
applications to be reviewed prior to the owner officially executing the annexation agreement.
The PUD and Subdivision applications have not been reviewed by the City on the date of this
letter.
An additional 180-day extension is requested for the approval of the Annexation and Zone Map
Amendment for this project to allow for the review of the PUD and Subdivision. The current
deadline for the annexation is August 4, 2018 (180-days from Commission approval). The new
annexation deadline with this extension will be January 31, 2019.
