Subject: [SENDER UNVERIFIED]Bozeman losing more wetlands to residential construction
Dear Chris and Terry-
Here is another example of Bozeman losing another 3 acres of wetlands to the Hamilton Mitigation Bank on the
Beaverhead and Jefferson River. Again, what a lost opportunity to use these mitigation funds for additional
restoration on Story Mill Creek, right next to the impact, or something that directly benefits the City of Bozeman
and the impacts we are facing from growth pressure.
Would it be possible for you to provide us with the City’s review process and code that determines how these
permits are reviewed and approved? Is this the Planning or Engineering department? Would we be able to come to
a City Commission meeting and give a presentation on what this means for the City when mitigation is done over 90
miles away? Please let me know what opportunities may exist for us to work with the City on this project and future
projects.
Sincerely,
Wendy
